How do I get a quote?

Start a free Tattoo Talk and an ATS artist will get back to you within 24 hours — or DM us on social, email, call, or just stop by. We're one of the few studios that will give you a real ballpark range over the phone, by email, or by DM. We'd rather you know a fair price now than guess until you're ready.

Can I walk in?

Yes — we take walk-ins every day of the week at every location, first come, first served. Our artists' booked appointments come first so they can prepare, but open time goes to walk-ins. Best move: reach out before you head over so we can tell you what the day looks like.

Question 3

How old do I have to be?

Accepted Answer

You must be 18 to get tattooed at any American Tattoo Society location — no exceptions. Most piercings, though, can be done under 18 with a parent or legal guardian present and signed paperwork. Call your studio and we'll tell you exactly what to bring.

What payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

All major credit cards, and every studio has an ATM on site. Active-duty service members also have financing options available — just ask when you book.

Do you tattoo military members?

Every day — it's who we are. We literally helped write the regulations for tattooing on military installations, so we know exactly what flies and what doesn't for your branch. If you're not sure whether a design or placement is within regs, ask us before you commit.

Can I bring a guest?

Accepted Answer

One guest, sure. More than that, reach out first — space is limited, and some artists prefer to work one-on-one with their client. We'll let you know what your artist is comfortable with.

How do I reschedule?

Call, email, or DM us at least 24 hours before your appointment to keep your retainer. If the conflict is work or military-related — duty, orders, recall, any of it — tell us and we'll work with you as best we can.

Question 8

How do I become an artist?

Accepted Answer

Through an apprenticeship — and those start with the artist, not the shop. Reach out directly to the artist you want to learn from; if they bring the apprenticeship to us, we'll approve it and get it squared away. The shop doesn't place apprentices itself, so make your case to the artist first.
